We’ve already discussed our favorite films, TV series, and comics of 2012. Now, to round things out before the impending season 4 premiere, we’ll “discuss” our favorite albums. “Discuss” is in quotation marks because, as we’ve frequently noted on the show, we are really, really bad at knowing how to talk about music. So we figured we’d let the music speak for itself.
Enjoy and check back on Sunday for the season premiere of GOBBLEDYGEEK!

HONORABLE MENTIONS
Of course, there were more than ten albums in 2012 worth listening to. So, in the interest of spreading the love, here are some more albums we felt merited a mention…
PAUL would like to give shout-outs to Old Ideas by Leonard Cohen, Life of Pi by Mychael Danna, Born to Die by Lana Del Rey, Continued Silence by Imagine Dragons, Last Smoke Before the Storm by Benjamin Francis Leftwitch, My Head Is an Animal by Of Monsters and Men, The Lion the Beast the Beat by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Island of Echoes by The Wilderness of Manitoba.
AJ requests a round of applause for Bloom by Beach House, America by Dan Deacon, Beams by Matthew Dear, Melody’s Echo Chamber by Melody’s Echo Chamber, Clear Moon by Mount Eerie, Twins by Ty Segall, Valtari by Sigur Rós, There’s No Leaving Now by The Tallest Man on Earth, TOY by TOY, and Bend Beyond by Woods.
(You might also enjoy “Insolent Musical Peasants,” the episode in which Paul and AJ attempt to talk about music.)
I love that someone else loves that John Mayer album as much as me.
